Year 1 started the week by exploring what life was like living in a castle. We explored toys from the past and compared them to toys we play with now. We discussed what materials they were made out of and we noticed that we didn't need to plug any of them in!

We had a cooking experience with Chef Jane and she taught us how to make bread. We learnt that yeast is the special ingredient and to make it work, we need to add water! We enjoyed shaping the dough and used utensils to make patterns. Jane then cooked our bread for us to take home and enjoy as a tasty snack!
