Health & Safety

For The Attention Of All Parents,

HEALTH AND SAFETY ISSUES

The Governing Body is most concerned with the Health and Safety of pupils, parents, staff and visitors of our school.  We feel it is important for everyone to observe the following guidance in the best interest of all concerned.

  • Vehicles - All exit and entry routes must be kept clear at all times.
  • Vehicles must not enter or exit school premises at the same time as pupils. Parents are requested not to use the School car park for dropping off/collecting their child.
  • Vehicles must not be parked on the school grass verges.
  • Bicycles must not be ridden by either adults or children within the school premises. Bicycles must not be left in doorways but may be secured to the side railings at the owners risk.
  • Ball games must not be played before or after school on the premises (balls cannot be retrieved from the roof).
  • School trees and walls must not be climbed.
  • The school premises is, by Law, a non smoking site. Please extinguish cigarettes before coming onto the school grounds.
  • Dogs are not allowed on the school grounds.
  • Please set a good example to the children by refraining from using inappropriate language and behaviour whilst on the premises. Verbal and physical abuse towards staff members and other adults on the premises will not be tolerated and will be reported to the appropriate authority for further action.
  • All visitors to the school are asked to wear a visitors badge in order to identify themselves to staff and pupils.

The Governors ask for your support and co-operation in maintaining these basic rules which will afford all stakeholders a safer environment.  Parents are must supervise and take responsibility for their child/children on the school grounds before and after school.

We remind parents that co-operation in upholding school policies are crucial to the schools success.
